Mesmerizing Monarchs and their Migration In this Zoom Program by Lauren Tafoya of the Butterfly Society of Virginia/NBG Butterfly House Curator, you will learn about the basics of the North American Monarch Butterfly and it’s lifecycle, as well as the phenomena of its migration to Mexico! Students will also discuss the conservation efforts of the species and how they can help. The Butterfly Society of Virginia is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our main purpose is to raise the general consciousness of our members and the public regarding the survival problems of butterflies and moths through publicity, programs and activities for both adults and children. We also promote butterfly and moth conservation, including conservation of butterfly habitats.
