This presentation will be everything Moth!
Program highlights include the essential roles moths play in ecosystems as pollinators, links in food webs, and decomposers as well as their importance to humans. Learn about conservation threats to moths in urban environments and how to attract them for close observation as well as how and where to participate in and contribute data to National Moth Week, a global-scale community science project celebrating the importance and beauty of moths and other nocturnal biodiversity.

The Butterfly Society of Virginia is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our main purpose is to raise the general consciousness of our members and the public regarding the survival problems of butterflies and moths through publicity, programs and activities for both adults and children. We also promote butterfly and moth conservation, including conservation of butterfly habitats.
