Celebrate 'National Learn About Butterflies Day' with the Butterfly Society of Virginia and First Landing State Park Rangers! This is at the Trail Center across Route 60 from the Visitor Center! BSV will have an educational display including posters, some pinned specimen cases, and overwintering pupae. Informational handout packets will also be available. Weather permitting, tabling will occur outside of the Trail Center, under the porch. If weather is inclement, event will take place inside the Trail Center, in the conference room. Park Staff will have a butterfly-themed craft.

The Butterfly Society of Virginia is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our main purpose is to raise the general consciousness of our members and the public regarding the survival problems of butterflies and moths through publicity, programs and activities for both adults and children. We also promote butterfly and moth conservation, including conservation of butterfly habitats.
